It has just occurred to me that writing these notes 36 years on, my memory might not be as accurate as I think it is. I said a few slides back that James was never Jim or Jimmy. That is true - but what I had forgotten was that for much of the time, and to many people, he was Mitchell, or Mitch. That's boys schools for you. Mitchell was well known in the school for all sorts of reasons - generally good! |
