While some of us had a knowledge (O-levels even) of Russian, which was useful in parts of Eastern Europe, we knew no Hungarian. We were therefore impressed by many of the signs and so impressed by the one of the city names we made up a song "It's a long way to Székesfehérvár" (well we parodied a parody James and I had made up in Switzerland) which I remember to this day. (It was not very long or difficult).
