| Day 17 and we arrived in Sofia on the day of their 'Liberation Parade'. If you remember the 60s, the 'soviet' style was to have large demonstrations of freedom through workers solidarity, technological strength (it was the days of the white heat of technology in Britain) and military might. The festival did not disappoint - it was slightly scary in some ways - but partly what we had come to see.
