Day 21: Milan. We stopped the previous night, by chance, at a camp site near Milan at a place called Monza. This it turned out was the venue for the Italian Grand Prix which had been held the previous week (and when Jochen Rindt had been killed.) The camp site was filled with motor cyclists who spent the night revving their engines. They were very friendly people but we felt a bit out of place there.
