| I don't recall how we knew which places to visit. I think Pete or Bill had a guide book - presumably of the Balkans or Eastern Europe. I had never heard of a petrified forest but it clearly appealed to Bill. Sadly, trying to place it recently using the internet, I learned that, whatever it is, it is not a petrified forest nor fossilized tree trunks. And for 36 years I had thought............. |
